Nick Granville Quartet
The Hanover Hall Concert Series continues in June with Wellington guitarist Nick Granville leading a stellar quartet featuring the ever popular double bassist, Nick Tipping. Rounding out the quartet are a couple of mainstays at the DJC – our esteemed Director, Bill Martin, and master drummer, Carl Woodward. The quartet are set to take you through a varied and engaging evening of standards, Latin jams, and guitar classics with some of Nick Granville’s originals.
Granville is a highly acclaimed jazz guitarist and has performed with huge names such as Dave Weckl, Eric Marienthal, Bob Mintzer and the likes of Ronan Keating, Delta Goodrem – and New Zealand’s own Sir Dave Dobbyn. Granville is a long-time collaborator of the Roger Fox Big Band and a founding member of the Wellington Jazz Orchestra, as well as working regularly with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Wellington, Auckland Philharmonia, and…
