The Dunedin Jazz Club is thrilled to present our upcoming "Pop-up" event featuring Piecemeal, an experimental modern jazz quintet known for their innovative blend of free improvisation and avant-garde styles, infused with influences from math rock and noise. Join us at The Dish Cafe and Bar on the 12th of April at 7:00 PM for an evening of original compositions from their upcoming album, alongside free-form jam sessions and unique interpretations of jazz standards. Audiences can expect a captivating and innovative musical experience that pushes the boundaries of traditional jazz.

Leading Piecemeal is the talented Peter Claman, a well-known trombonist in the local music scene, performing with various groups such as the Dunedin City Jazz Orchestra, Dunedin Symphony Orchestra, 'Koile, Loose & Colourful, Ed and the Shadow Boys, and Tahu and the Takahē, among others. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical influences, Claman's passion lies in blending these influences together, making Piecemeal an ideal creative outlet for his diverse musical interests. Accompanying Claman are Finn Butler (Keys), Ryan Finnie (Drums), Regan McManus (Bass), and Ro Rushton-Green (Soprano Sax).
